Lauren Moloney

Exceptional STEM Volunteer

Lauren, an advanced honours chemistry student at ANU has been voluntarily running STEM workshops for a group of young neurodiverse girls (aged 10-16) at Daydream Machine. Daydream machine supports young people living with disability to explore their interests and talents in music, science, the arts and technology.

Lauren is incredibly passionate about teaching young autistic girls about the skills of science, technology, engineering and mathematics; and the girls love her enthusiasm and kind-hearted, fun-loving nature. Lauren is making a real impact in these young girls’ lives, empowering them through fun, challenging STEM activities – the visible sense of belief and pride Lauren has instilled in these girls in such a short time is quite remarkable.
